Try eating your food without ever needing red meat. It looks difficult but with time we all can get rid of that desire. There is no need to make drastic changes and you can also try this elimination gradually. If you have taking red meat in your diet consistently, perhaps you should now start replacing it with other healthy food. Or eliminate the most processed and high-fat meats first, such as bacon and hamburgers. Try to eliminate all kind of fast food as well, like, burgers that have such a high fat and sodium content. You can include a turkey or a vegetable-based bacon if you do not want to eliminate bacon totally from your diet. This way you won’t be giving up all your favorite foods at once.

If you’ve had a health scare and feel the need to change everything at once, make sure you include a lot of variety in the foods you buy as you begin to discover new flavors and textures that you’ll like to replace the ones you’re used to eating. If you don’t need to make a dramatic change all at once, you’ll have a much greater chance of long-term success if you take it slow. Curb the amount of red meat ingestion on a weekly basis, even if that requires you to replace pasta with marinara sauce for meat at least once a week at any night. Increase the amounts of fruits and vegetables you eat. Start including raw vegetables in your dinner or before a proper dinner, so that you do not feel that hungry while having the actual dinner. This will result in automatic reduction of your meat consumption. Try with more vegetables in your dinner and use meat as a side dish while having all the vegetarian diet in your main course.
It is human nature to resist any change from the usual habits. This is the only reason why we are unable to stick to a strict dietary schedule, because we make sudden changes and start expecting quick results at the same time, which is obviously not possible. This should be a determined decision and a change you want to make for a lifetime. Make it a natural and gradual change and you can look forward to many more years of healthy living.
